Do you want to add another eHerkenning user, employee, or colleague to your organisation? Each user needs their own Digidentity account and their own eHerkenning credential.
Digidentity accounts and eHerkenning credentials are personal. The new user must therefore complete their own registration and identity verification.

There are two ways for an employee to start their own registration:
1. Receive an invitation from a Company Administrator
Someone in your organisation can first register as a Company Administrator. Once approved, the Company Administrator can invite the employee and manage their authorisations. The employee then opens the invitation and completes the registration and identity verification themselves. Read How do I become a Company Administrator?
2. Start a registration independently
The employee can also start their own eHerkenning registration on our website. They choose the required product, enter their own details, add the organisation, and complete the identity and authorisation checks themselves.
⚠ Important: every user needs their own account
Do not share login details, a PIN, or access to the Digidentity Wallet. Every user must use their own Digidentity account and their own eHerkenning credential.
A Company Administrator product is also not an eHerkenning credential. It provides administrative permissions within Digidentity but cannot be used to log in to services such as the Dutch Tax Authority or UWV. A Company Administrator who also needs to log in with eHerkenning must apply for a separate eHerkenning product.
How do I add another person, employee, or colleague to my organisation?
Do you want to add another person to your organisation? A Company Administrator can invite the employee to start their own registration. If your organisation does not yet have a Company Administrator, someone in the organisation can first register as a Company Administrator.
The employee can also start their own eHerkenning application on the Digidentity website without an invitation. In both cases, the employee creates their own Digidentity account and completes their own identity verification.
How do I give several people access on behalf of my organisation?
Do you want to give several people access on behalf of your organisation? Each person must apply for their own Digidentity account and their own eHerkenning credential. Accounts and eHerkenning credentials must not be shared.
Use a Company Administrator to invite each employee separately and manage the authorisations for each employee. Every invited employee then completes their own registration and identity verification.
What must the invited user do themselves?
A Company Administrator can invite the user and manage the required authorisations. The invited user then completes their own personal registration and identity verification.
The employee must use the invitation to register with their own details, identity document, smartphone, and Digidentity Wallet.
Do we need a Company Administrator before an employee can register?
No. A Company Administrator is useful when your organisation wants to invite employees and centrally manage authorisations, but it is not required for an employee to start an eHerkenning application.
Without a Company Administrator, the intended user can start their own application on the Digidentity website. If they are not independently authorised to act for the organisation, additional authorisation may be required during the application.
Can several employees use the same eHerkenning credential?
No. Every employee must have their own Digidentity account and their own eHerkenning credential. A credential cannot be shared with or transferred to another person.
