When your company information changes, the steps you need to take in your Digidentity account depend on the type of change. Choose the situation that applies to you below.
⚠ Important: a new KvK number means you need a new eHerkenning registration
If your organisation receives a new Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number, you must register for eHerkenning again under the new KvK number.
eHerkenning is always linked to a specific person and a specific KvK number. This is a legal requirement from the eHerkenning system. For that reason, Digidentity cannot manually change the KvK number on an existing registration, subscription, or authorisation.
Your business structure has changed (new KvK number)
If your business structure changes, for example from a sole proprietorship to a private limited company (B.V.), you will usually receive a new Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number.
In that case, Digidentity cannot update the KvK number on your existing eHerkenning registration. You must add the new organisation to your account and request the required authorisation for the new KvK number.
You no longer need access under the old KvK number
If you no longer need to log in on behalf of your old organisation, you can cancel the corresponding subscription or authorisation.
Your company’s legal name has changed (same KvK number)
If the legal company name has changed but the KvK number remains the same, please contact our service desk at helpdesk@digidentity.com. We can manually update this information for you.
Trade names
Changes or additions to trade names are not required and cannot be processed by Digidentity.
