An authorisation to use a Digidentity product on behalf of your organisation is valid for a maximum of five years.
If your authorisation has expired or is about to expire, it must be renewed. Renewing an authorisation is free of charge.
Please note: Digidentity automatically sends email reminders when your authorisation is about to expire.
Make sure the email address in your account is up to date and regularly check your spam or junk folder.
Even if you do not receive a reminder, you remain responsible for renewing your authorisation on time.
Which situation applies to you?
Your authorisation has already expired:

Your authorisation will expire within 30 days:

My authorisation has expired
If your authorisation has expired, you cannot use the relevant product until the authorisation has been approved again.
Your product registration will change from Completed to Incomplete.
Step 1: Continue your registration
- On a PC or laptop, go to my.digidentity.eu and log in.
- Open the Products tab.
- Find your incomplete registration under Continue registration.
- Click Continue.
- Follow the instructions shown on screen.
What happens next?
Your organisation has a Company Administrator:
Your renewed authorisation will be submitted to the Company Administrator for approval.
Your organisation does not have a Company Administrator:
New authorisation letters will be created. These must be signed and submitted by the authorised representative(s) of your organisation.
You are the Company Administrator:
You cannot approve your own authorisation. Another Company Administrator can approve it for you. If there is no other Company Administrator, your authorisation must be approved using authorisation letters.
Approval by a Company Administrator
If your organisation has a Company Administrator, they can approve your authorisation after you have completed the steps above.
- The Company Administrator goes to the Self Service Portal and logs in.
- Select the relevant organisation.
- Go to the Users tab.
- Select the relevant user.
- Click Approve.
Once the authorisation has been approved, the product can be used again.
Approval using authorisation letters
If approval by a Company Administrator is not possible, new authorisation letters will be created when you continue the registration.
The letters must be signed and submitted by the authorised representative(s) named on the letters.
Are you the owner of a sole proprietorship? In that case, authorisation letters are normally not required and the registration can usually be completed again immediately.
Please note: an authorisation letter is valid for 14 days only.
After all required authorisation letters have been submitted, they are manually reviewed by Digidentity.
Once the authorisation has been approved, you can use the product again.
