Before you can use Digidentity's services, you first need to purchase a product.
During this process we create your account, verify your identity, and link you to your organisation (if applicable).
The steps below explain the full process.
Step 1 — Select a product
- Go to the Digidentity website
- Choose the product you need (for example eHerkenning or a eSignature)
- Click 'Register Now'
If applicable (for example with eHerkenning), you can select the subscription duration during the registration process.
You will now be guided through the purchase process.
Step 2 — Create your account
Enter your personal details:
- Email address
- Phone number
You will receive a verification email to activate your account.
Step 3 — Verify your identity
To protect your account and comply with legal requirements, you must complete an identity check. This identity check is performed in the Digidentity Wallet app (iOS/Android).
You will complete the following steps:
- Scan your identity document
- Take a selfie for a face comparison with your ID document
- Perform a liveness check (to confirm you are physically present)
Step 3 — Verify your organisation (if required)
If the product is used on behalf of a company or organisation, we must verify the organisation and your authority to act for it.
- Enter your organisation’s trade register number
- Select the correct organisation
Digidentity will automatically check the relevant trade registry and retrieve an official extract containing the organisation’s details, legal structure, and authorised signatories.
Step 4 — Verify your authorisation (if required)
Next, we verify whether you are allowed to act on behalf of the organisation.
If you are registered as an independently authorised signatory, this is confirmed automatically.
If you are not registered as an authorised signatory, additional approval is required.
In that case, authorisation letters will be generated. These must be completed and signed by the organisation’s authorised signatory/signatories.
Step 6 — Payment
Complete the payment to continue activating your product.
Your product becomes active once:
- the payment is successful, and
- your authorisation has been approved (if applicable)
If your authorisation still needs approval, the product will remain inactive after payment.
Your subscription will only start once the authorisation has been approved.
After completion
You can now log in and use your product with the Digidentity Wallet app.
Need additional products?
You can purchase additional products directly in the Digidentity Wallet app.
- Select Add another product
- Choose the product you want
For additional products, Digidentity will reuse your previous identity verification unless the product has stricter requirements.
You can also provide different information, for example linking the product to another organisation.
