eHerkenning
eHerkenning is used to log in securely to Dutch government services (such as Belastingdienst, UWV, RVO and municipalities).
You need eHerkenning if:
- You are accessing a Dutch government portal on behalf of an organisation
- A service requires eHerkenning level 2+, 3 or 4
The required level depends on the government service you are using.

eHerkenning without KVK (Foreign organisations)
Are you a foreign organisation or sole trader without a Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) registration?
You can apply for a special eHerkenning product for organisations without a KVK number.

PKIoverheid Certificates
A PKIoverheid certificate is used to secure digital communication and systems.
You may need this if:
- You submit SBR reports
- You secure servers or applications

eSGN (Digital signing)
eSGN allows you to digitally sign documents with a verified identity.
You need eSGN if:
- You want to sign official or legal documents electronically
- A qualified or advanced electronic signature is required
- A qualified electronic seal is needed
