In the previous version of the Digidentity Wallet app, the five-digit PIN code (which you use as two-factor authentication) was referred to as a 'smart card'. In the new version of the app, this is now called a 'certificate'.
We are currently in a transitional phase. It is therefore possible that you will still come across the old term 'smart card' in our FAQs or e-mails. We are working hard to change this to 'certificate' everywhere. We apologise for any confusion.
Note: The automotive certificate and the PKI certificate are slightly different and are separate from the above certificate in the Digidentity Wallet app.
