It is not possible to register a GOV.UK Verify or eSGN account using Power of Attorney. Digidentity accounts are for individuals to be able to prove who they are, and all requested information must be provided by the account holder themselves.
We do understand that not all individuals are able to go through the registration process themselves however and it is of course possible for you to assist someone in completing their verify account, but they must be present and aware of what information is being provided on their behalf.
If you are registering on behalf of an individual, we will only assist with verification if the account holder is present and we receive their verbal permission to discuss the account with someone else. This means that should you need support while verifying your identity with Digidentity, you will need to contact us by phone with the account holder in the room with you.
