When the services within a chain authorization for an intermediary need to be adjusted, this is possible. This can be done in the Self Service Portal. Only a company administrator can perform this action. Changing a chain authorization is free of charge.
Step 1: Modify services in the chain authorization
- Log in at selfservice.digidentity.eu
- Click on the company on whose behalf you are acting.
- Click on “Chain Authorizations”
- Click on “Show all” under the heading “Received Authorizations”; here you will find all requested chain authorizations.
- Click on the chain authorization you want to modify.
- In the catalog, select the required services.
- Click “Save”
- You must now continue with Step 2 below.
Step 2: Services assigned to the employee(s)
A chain authorization to log in on behalf of another company must always be assigned to an employee. This can also be yourself.
A requested chain authorization can be modified at employee level as follows:
- Log in at selfservice.digidentity.eu
- Click on the company on whose behalf you are acting.
- Click on “Chain Authorizations”
- Click on “Show all” under the heading “Received Authorizations”; here you will find all requested chain authorizations.
- Click on “Manage users” and select the user.
- Click on the user to modify the authorization, or click “Revoke” to withdraw it.
Do the services match those of your client/intermediary?
For a chain authorization, it is important that the selected services match 100% for both the main company and the intermediary. If even one service too many or too few is selected, the chain authorization will not work. This must be coordinated in advance with your client.
Does the portal you want to log into support chain authorizations?
You should check with the relevant portal whether it supports chain authorizations. Not all portals support chain authorizations.
