When you request a chain authorization, there are two possible scenarios. Click below for more information.
My client has eHerkenning with Digidentity
When you request a chain authorization and your client has eHerkenning via Digidentity, we do not send a separate notification that this request has been submitted. The requested chain authorization will, however, appear in the Self-Service Portal of your client, where it can easily be approved with the selected services.
For this reason, we advise that when both you and your client are registered with Digidentity, the intermediary should first request the chain authorization. Your client can then approve the chain authorization by following these steps:
- Log in to selfservice.digidentity.eu
- Click on the company on whose behalf you are acting
- Click “Chain Authorizations” on the left side of the screen
- If your intermediary has requested a chain authorization, you will see an issued authorization with the status “Pending”
- Click “Show all” under “Issued authorizations”
-
Click on the authorization to review the services and click “Approve” if you agree
The chain authorization is now granted to the intermediary.
My client has eHerkenning with another provider
There is no communication between the different providers. We do not send notifications, nor do we receive notifications when a chain authorization is requested. When you request a chain authorization, you must coordinate with your client yourself to ensure that they correctly complete the required steps with their own provider.
