Each time you log into your Digidentity account, you will be asked to confirm your login using two-factor authentication. Two-factor authentication is an extra level of security used to protect your account. Digidentity uses its own smart card authenticator for this.
- Via the Digidentity Wallet app. When logging in, you can scan the QR code found on our login page (or tap the 'Open the app' button if using a mobile device) then enter your 5-digit PIN code on the app to confirm
Setting up or recovering an authenticator
- If you haven't yet created a two-factor authenticator, please see: How do I set up two-factor authentication?
- If you have already created a two-factor authenticator, but have lost access to it, please see: How do I recover my two-factor authentication?
Can't use this option?
To protect your account we require that two-factor authentication be set up using the smart card authenticator. If you don't have a smartphone/tablet that can install apps, unfortunately it will not be possible for you to create a Digidentity account at this time.
