Before purchasing a PKIo certificate: Register for Certificate Manager

Certificate Manager is a personal product that authorises you to apply for and manage PKIoverheid certificates on behalf of your organisation.

• The product is valid for five years.
• There is no additional charge for the Certificate Manager product.
• After five years, you must renew the product if you want to continue applying for or managing certificates.

You will receive a reminder email seven days before the expiry date. You will receive another notification when the product expires.

1. On your PC or laptop, open the Certificate Manager registration.
2. Log in to your personal Digidentity account or create a new account.
3. Complete the identity verification in the app using your own identity document.
4. Enter your organisation’s Trade Register number and the requested organisation details.
5. Follow the remaining steps to have your authorisation verified and complete the registration.

Once your Certificate Manager registration has been completed, you can apply for a PKIoverheid certificate on behalf of the approved organisation.

Digidentity uses the official Trade Register to verify whether you are authorised to act on behalf of the organisation.

Are you registered in the Trade Register as an independently authorised representative? If so, additional authorisation letters may not be required.

If additional authorisation is required, our system will generate the necessary authorisation letters. These must be signed and submitted in accordance with the instructions provided on the letters.

Certificate Manager allows you to purchase and manage certificates on behalf of an organisation. We must therefore establish who you are, which organisation you represent and whether you are authorised to act on its behalf.
