A role is a predefined set of eHerkenning authorisations. As a Company Administrator, you can assign a role to an employee to determine which services they can access.
- With a role: the employee only receives the authorisations assigned to that role.
- Without a role: the employee receives all available authorisations by default.
Important
To restrict an employee’s access, create a role first and select it when inviting the employee.
These instructions do not apply to chain authorisations.
When should you use a role?
Use a role when:
- an employee should not have access to every service;
- multiple employees require the same authorisations; or
- you want to configure access before inviting an employee.
Create a role
- Go to the Self Service Portal and log in.
- Select your organisation.
- Go to Roles.
- Select New role.
- Select the services that employees with this role should be able to access.
- Save the role.
