When you apply for a new PKIo SBR certificate, or seek to renew an existing certificate, your identity check may be rejected if the proof of identity linked to your Digidentity Certificate Manager registration is no longer readable. To resolve this issue, you can provide your proof of identity again by restoring your Qualified certificate, which can be done via the steps below:
- On a PC or laptop, log in to your Digidentity account via: my.digidentity.eu
- Click on 'Set / Change up two-factor authentication' under 'Settings' (indicated by the gear icon)
- Click on 'Recover' for 'Qualified Certificate', which is indicated by a shield with a '4' in it
- Read the text and click on 'Recover'
- You will then arrive at 'Services'
- Click on 'Continue' for the 'Digidentity Certificate Manager' product
- Click on 'Upload your document'
- Scan the QR code to start the upload process via the Digidentity Wallet app
- Once your ID is verified, you can create a new Qualified certificate.
- Scan the QR code on screen, enter a 5-digit PIN, and confirm this PIN.
After the check has been performed and approved, you can successfully request or renew the PKIo SBR certificate..
If the above does not work, please contact the Service Desk.
