When applying for a new PKIo SBR certificate or reapplying for an existing one, you may encounter a situation where the identity check is rejected. This usually happens when the identity document linked to your Digidentity Certificate Manager registration is no longer valid.
You can resolve this by submitting your identity document again. To do this, you must restore your authenticator
How to restore your authenticator
- On your PC, go to my.digidentity.eu and log in.
- Click on ‘Settings’ (gear icon).
- Select ‘Set up two-factor authentication’.
- Under ‘Qualified Smartcard’ (shield icon with ‘4’), click ‘Restore’.
- Read the instructions and click ‘Restore Smartcard’.
- You will be taken to the ‘Services’ page.
- Click ‘Continue’ for the Digidentity Certificate Manager product.
- Click ‘Upload your identity document’.
- Scan the QR code using the Digidentity Wallet app to resubmit your identity document.
- Once your document has been verified, you can create a new Qualified Smartcard.
- Scan the QR code, set a PIN, and confirm it.
After your identity check has been successfully approved, you can proceed with successfully applying or reapplying for your PKIo SBR certificate.
