This guide explains how to register for a Dutch Digidentity eSeal and use it to sign documents on behalf of your organisation.

Your organisation must be registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) and have a valid KvK number.

Register for a Dutch eSeal
Before starting your registration, make sure you have:
- A valid identity document with an NFC chip
- A smartphone with the Digidentity Wallet app installed
- A laptop or desktop computer available during registration
To register:
- Open the Dutch eSeal product page and select Register now.
- Create your Digidentity account.
- Complete the registration and identity-verification steps.
- Upload any requested authorisation letters or supporting documents.
- Once your registration has been approved, you can start signing documents with your eSeal.
Identification and authorisation
Before an eSeal certificate can be issued, Digidentity must verify the identity of the person who will use it.
The person who completes the registration will be the only person authorised to use the eSeal on behalf of the organisation.
Each additional person who needs to use the eSeal must complete a separate registration.
The eSeal user does not need to be a statutory director or legally authorised representative of the organisation.
If an employee completes the registration, authorisation letters may be required. Where applicable, these documents will be generated automatically during registration.

Once your registration has been approved, you can use your eSeal to sign documents digitally on behalf of your organisation.

About Digidentity eSeal
The entire Digidentity eSeal registration process can be completed digitally and remotely.
You verify your identity by scanning the NFC chip in your identity document with your smartphone. No in-person appointment is required.
Registration can usually be completed in approximately 30 minutes.
There are no additional registration, subscription or support fees.
