If EPREL reports that the organisation identifier in your Qualified Electronic Seal (eSeal) does not match your organisation details, there is usually nothing wrong with the certificate itself.
During the EPREL registration process, the organisation identifier must exactly match the value contained in your Qualified eSeal certificate. If EPREL contains a different identifier, verification will fail.
To resolve this issue:
- Open your organisation profile in the EPREL portal.
- Select Edit next to the Organisation Identifier field.
- Replace the existing identifier with the exact value shown in your Qualified eSeal certificate.
For Dutch organisations, this is typically one of the following formats:
- NTRNL-[KvK number]
- NHRNL-[KvK number]
Important: If the organisation identifier suggested by EPREL differs from the identifier contained in your Qualified eSeal certificate, use the value from the certificate. This is also the approach recommended by EPREL in their verification guidance.
Example:
- Identifier in Qualified eSeal: NTRNL-91113XXX
- Identifier registered in EPREL: NTRNL-NL8654XXXX5.91113XXX
In this situation, the EPREL record should be updated to match the identifier contained in the Qualified eSeal certificate.
