Do you have a new phone? Then you need to transfer your Digidentity Wallet to your new device.
The Digidentity Wallet app securely stores your products and functions like an authenticator app. You use your 5-digit PIN when you log in or use your products.
Select the situation that applies to you:
- I still have access to my old phone
- I no longer have access to my old phone
I still have access to my old phone
If your old phone is still working and has not been reset to factory settings, you can transfer your certificate directly to your new phone.
Keep the Wallet app installed on your old phone until the transfer is fully completed.
Step 1 – On your PC or laptop
- Go to my.digidentity.eu and sign in
- Go to Settings → Set up two-factor authentication
- Under Authenticators in your app, locate your certificate
- Click the three dots next to the certificate
- Select Transfer to new device
Step 2 – On your new phone
- Install and open the Digidentity Wallet app
- Tap Scan QR code
- Scan the QR code displayed on your computer
- Tap Continue
- Create a new 5-digit PIN
Step 3 – On your old phone
- You will receive a notification
- Tap Remove to delete the certificate from the old device
- Confirm with your PIN
The transfer may take a few seconds. Refresh the page on your computer afterwards.
After completion, your certificate will only be active on your new device.
I no longer have access to my old phone
If your old phone is lost, broken, or already reset, you must complete the account recovery process.
During recovery:
- A new certificate will be created on your new device
- The old device will automatically be deactivated
- You will need to verify your identity again
The recovery process is free of charge.
Important: Make sure you use the same email address that was originally used to request your Digidentity products. Using a different email address may result in restoring an empty account.
After transferring or recovering your certificate, your products will be immediately available.
