When you grant a chain authorization to an intermediary, there are two possible scenarios. Click below for more information.
My intermediary has eHerkenning via Digidentity
When both you and your intermediary have eHerkenning through Digidentity and you grant a chain authorization, it does not automatically appear in your intermediary’s portal. However, if the intermediary requests the chain authorization first, it will automatically appear in your portal and can be easily approved.
We therefore always recommend that, when both you and your intermediary have eHerkenning via Digidentity, the intermediary requests the chain authorization first through their portal. You can then easily approve it by following these steps:
- Log in to selfservice.digidentity.eu
- Click on the company on whose behalf you are acting
- Click on 'Chain Authorizations' on the left side of the screen
- Has your intermediary requested a chain authorization? You will see an issued authorization with the status 'Pending'. If you do not see a pending authorization, your intermediary must request it first.
- Click “Show all” under “Issued authorizations”
-
Click on the authorization to review the services and click 'Approve' if you agree
The chain authorization is now granted to the intermediary.
My intermediary has eHerkenning via another provider
There is no communication between different providers. We do not send notifications, nor do we receive notifications when a chain authorization is requested with another provider. When you grant a chain authorization, you must coordinate with your intermediary to ensure that they correctly complete the required steps in their own provider portal.
