Below you will find the information you need if you have received an email from Digidentity stating that your chain authorisation is about to expire and needs to be renewed.
What should I do if my chain authorisation is about to expire or has already expired?
To renew a chain authorisation, you must first revoke and delete your current chain authorisation. After the chain authorisation has been deleted, you can create a new chain authorisation.
Please read the steps below carefully before revoking the chain authorisation.
- Log in via your PC at selfservice.digidentity.eu
- Click on the company for which the authorisation is expiring
- Click on ‘Chains’

Please read this before continuing with the next steps: After deleting the chain authorisation, you will need to apply for a new chain authorisation. Therefore, first check which services are included in the current chain authorisation, so you can easily request them again after deletion.
Are you an intermediary? Before deleting the chain authorisation, also check which users it has been assigned to via the ‘Manage users’ button. You will no longer be able to view this information after the chain authorisation has been revoked.
Have you noted this information? Then continue with the next step. - Click on ‘Revoke’
- Click on ‘Delete’
After the chain authorisation has been deleted, you can create a new chain authorisation as described below. Make sure to select the correct option.

I received an email about a subscription renewal. What should I do?
If you have received an email about the renewal of your chain authorisation subscription, no action is required. The renewal process is handled automatically. After renewal, an invoice will be sent for the new subscription period.
I want to cancel my subscription
If you wish to cancel your subscription, please follow the steps below:
- Log in to the Self Service Portal
- Select your company.
- Select Chain Authorisation (Renewal) under ‘My products’.
- Click on ‘Cancel subscription’.
- Click on ‘Confirm’.
After cancellation, you can continue using Chain Authorisation until the end date of your current subscription.
