Since January 2026, the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration has changed how users log in on behalf of a fiscal entity (fiscale eenheid).
The correct eHerkenning product depends on whether you are filing VAT returns (BTW) or Corporate Income Tax (Vennootschapsbelasting).
Which situation applies to you?
- VAT return (BTW): You must use an eHerkenning without KvK product registered to the fiscal entity's fiscal number.
- Corporate Income Tax: You can continue using an eHerkenning product linked to the parent company, or use an eHerkenning without KvK product.
Important:
Since January 2026, VAT returns can no longer be submitted using an eHerkenning product registered to one of the companies within the fiscal entity.
For VAT declarations, a separate eHerkenning without KvK product registered to the fiscal entity is required.
VAT returns (BTW)
To file VAT returns on behalf of a fiscal entity, you must use an eHerkenning without KvK product registered to the fiscal number of the fiscal entity.
