You can log in with eHerkenning at any online service that supports it, such as government portals and regulatory websites.
The exact login flow may vary slightly depending on the service and the assurance level (eH2+, eH3, or eH4), but the overall process is the same.
Step 1: Select eHerkenning
On the website of the service provider (for example UWV, RVO or the Dutch Tax Authorities):
- Click Log in with eHerkenning;
- Select Digidentity as your eHerkenning provider.
You will then be redirected to the Digidentity login screen.
Step 2: Choose your login method
You can log in in one of the following ways:
Option 1 – Log in using your email address
- Click Log in with login details;
- Enter your email address;
- You will receive a notification on your smartphone;
- Open the Digidentity Wallet app and enter your PIN code.
Option 2 – Log in by scanning a QR code
- Open the Digidentity Wallet app;
- Select Scan QR code;
- Scan the QR code shown on your computer screen;
- Enter your PIN code in the app to confirm.
Step 3: Select your authorisation
After successful authentication, you will see a list of organisations and authorisations assigned to you.
Select the organisation you want to act on behalf of. You will then be redirected back to the service provider’s website.
If the organisation or authorisation you need is not shown, you may need to request or recover access.
