Has your SBR certificate been downloaded with an incorrect file extension? If the file is in .p12 or .pfx format, you can change the extension yourself.
The extensions .p12 and .pfx are both used for PKCS#12 certificate files. Changing between these extensions does not change the certificate, its private key or its validity.
Change the file extension
- Right-click the downloaded file.
- Select Rename.
- Change the extension to .p12 or .pfx, depending on the requirements of your SBR software.
- Press Enter and confirm the change if your computer asks you to do so.
You can now import the file into your SBR software. You do not need to request a new certificate.
Do you have a .pem file?
A PEM file is different and its extension must not be changed. Contact our Service Desk at helpdesk@digidentity.com for assistance.
