To issue a chain authorisation to your intermediary, you will need at least eHerkenning level 3 complete, and the company administrator status to do so. Please read the instructions below for more information on how to issue a chain authorisation.
1. Become a Company Administrator
To become a Company Administrator, register for one of the following products:
Company Administrator Level 3
A free product that allows you to manage authorisations up to and including eHerkenning Level 3 (eIDAS Substantial).
Company Administrator Level 4
A paid product that allows you to manage authorisations up to and including eHerkenning Level 4 (eIDAS High).
You do not need an eHerkenning product to become a Company Administrator.
Your organisation must have a valid Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) registration
- Start a Company Administrator registration.
- Complete the required verification and authorisation steps.
You now need to have the company administrator letters delivered by the authorised signatory(s) on the letter or letters. Once these are approved, you will have access to the Self-Service Portal.
2. Grant a chain authorisation
Once the company administrator status is approved, you will be granted access to the Self Service Portal. Here you can grant a chain authorisation to your intermediary..
- Log in to the Self Service Portal
- Go to the 'Companies' tab
- Click on the company for which you are acting.
- Click on ‘Chains’.
- Click on ‘Grant Chain Authorisation''.
- Enter the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number of your intermediary.
- Review the information. If correct, select ‘Continue’.
- If you want to grant a chain authorisation for all services, select 'All services'.
- If you only want to grant a chain authorisation for select services, tick the boxes of the desired services.
- Click on 'Save'.
- Click on 'Approve'
You have now authorised your intermediary for a selection of services within the eHerkenning catalogue. If the intermediary requests exactly the same services from eHerkenning, you can log in.
No message will be sent to your intermediary. You must contact your intermediary yourself.
