A Personal Organisation Certificate (POC) is a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) that contains not only your personal identity, but also the name of the organisation you represent.
This means that when you sign a document, recipients can immediately see both who signed the document and which organisation they represent.
Key benefits of a Personal Organisation Certificate
- Your digital signature displays both your name and your organisation name.
- The signature is legally equivalent to a handwritten signature throughout the EU and the United Kingdom.
- Sign documents directly from the Digidentity app using your PIN.
- No smartcard reader or USB token required.
- Provides additional assurance regarding the organisation you represent.
What does the signature look like?
The main difference between a Personal Organisation Certificate and a standard Qualified Electronic Signature is that a POC also displays the name of the organisation.
Personal Organisation Certificate (POC)
Shows both the signer's name and the organisation name.
Qualified Electronic Signature (QES)
Shows only the signer's name.
