The collection and processing of personal data are fundamental to the qualified trust services provided by Digidentity. As a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP), we are legally required under the eIDAS Regulation to verify the identity of our users with a high level of assurance. This is only possible when the relevant personal data is collected, validated, and securely processed. Without this, Digidentity would be unable to issue or manage trusted digital identities, certificates, or authentication services in a secure and compliant manner.
In addition to these legal obligations, Digidentity may process certain personal data based on its legitimate interests. These interests are strictly balanced against the rights of the individual and support essential activities such as maintaining and improving our trusted services, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems, preventing and detecting fraud or misuse, meeting audit and compliance requirements, analysing service performance, and managing financial operations such as debt recovery. These measures enable Digidentity to provide reliable, high-assurance trust services in accordance with its role as a QTSP.
