When your Automotive Authentication certificate is about to expire or has already expired, you can renew it.
Please note that the certificate and associated billing will commence once the renewal is completed.
The renewal process is simple and is as follows:
- Log into the Self Service Portal
- Click on the relevant company
- Click on 'Certificates'
- Click on the Certificate in question
- Click 'Refresh'
- Click 'Next'
- Enter the confirmation code and click 'Confirm'
- You will receive an email with the text 'Your certificate request has been rejected'. You can ignore this.
- Click on 'Withdraw and continue'
You may need to repeat the above steps twice. If you are unable to proceed after clicking 'Withdraw and continue,' please refer to the following resource: I can't proceed after clicking 'Withdraw and continue', what now?
- Click 'Next'
- Click on 'Confirm'
- Click on 'Generate'
- Click on 'Save certificate'
- Select the PFX format
- Create and confirm a password
- Click 'Keep' again
- The certificate is now in your download folder
- Open the download folder and double click on the certificate
- Click on 'Current User'
- Click 'Next' twice.
- Enter the password you just created
- Click 'Next' twice until it says 'Import is complete'
Please note: It is your own responsibility to carefully store the PFX file and password.
