Is the renewal process stuck after clicking 'Withdraw and continue'?
This usually happens when the existing Automotive Authentication certificate was originally requested using a different Digidentity account, or when the account that was used to request the certificate has since been deleted.
In this situation, the existing certificate cannot be automatically replaced. A Company Administrator must first revoke the current certificate. Once the certificate has been revoked, you can request a new one.
Step 1: Company Administrator revokes the existing certificate
Ask a Company Administrator to complete the following steps:
- Log in to the Self Service Portal .
- Select the relevant company.
- Click Certificates.
- Select the Automotive Authentication certificate.
- Click Withdraw.
The certificate has now been revoked.
Step 2: Request a new certificate
Once the existing certificate has been revoked, you can request a new Automotive Authentication certificate:
- Log in to my.digidentity.eu .
- Select the relevant company.
- Click Certificates.
- If no certificate is displayed, click Select next to the Automotive Authentication certificate.
- If a certificate is already displayed, click Request a new certificate.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the application. The issue with 'Withdraw and continue' should no longer occur.
