Before you can purchase a PKIoverheid certificate for your organisation, you must first complete the registration for the free Digidentity Certificate Manager product.
Certificate Manager is a mandatory prerequisite for purchasing PKIoverheid certificates. During registration, Digidentity verifies your identity, your organisation's details and whether you are authorised to request certificates on its behalf.
You cannot purchase PKIoverheid certificates until your Certificate Manager registration has been successfully completed and approved.
Certificate Manager itself is free of charge and valid for five years. PKIoverheid certificates must be purchased separately.
What is Certificate Manager?
Certificate Manager is a personal product that allows you to apply for and manage PKIoverheid certificates on behalf of your organisation once your registration has been approved.
- Personal: Certificate Manager is linked to your personal Digidentity account.
- Free of charge: There is no additional charge for the Certificate Manager product.
- Valid for five years: After five years, you must renew your Certificate Manager registration if you want to continue applying for or managing certificates.
You will receive a reminder email seven days before the expiry date. You will receive another notification when the product expires.
Important: Certificate Manager is not a PKIoverheid certificate. It is the registration you must complete before you can purchase certificates for your organisation.
