Online verification is not mandatory. Therefore, if you are unable to complete your GOV.UK verification with Digidentity, there are alternatives in place for you to access the GOV.UK service you need. For more information, please find the service you're trying to access below:
DBS Checks
It is possible to verify in person for your DBS check by visiting a local Post Office branch. Before you visit, there are few things you will need to do:
- Check which Post Office branches near you offer the DBS Validation service via the Post Office Branch Finder
- Fill out the following online form: Validate your identity at the Post Office
- Once you have filled out the form, you will receive a copy by email. You will need to bring this with you to the Post Office branch along with the documents you selected.
