If you have forgotten your password or don't have access to the original mobile phone number or Digidentity app where you set up your login codes, it is possible to recover one of these details by following the instructions in the appropriate article below:
If you have lost both of these details however, for security unfortunately it will not be possible for you to access your Digidentity account. This means that you will need to register a new Verify account to continue to access GOV.UK services.
As it's only possible to have one Digidentity account per email address, there are two ways you can continue from here:
Do you have another email address you can use?
If you do have another email address you can use, to create a new Digidentity account please go to https://www.signin.service.gov.uk/start, select the GOV.UK service you require from the list, and select that you are using Verify for the first time.
Do you only have the one email address?
In order for you to create a new Digidentity account using the same email address, we will need to deactivate your original account. In this case, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org from the email address your Digidentity account is registered to, including the following information:
- Confirmation that your account is blocked and that you request for us to deactivate the account in order to register again
- Your full name (including any middle names)
- Your date of birth
Once our team have received this request, we will proceed with the deactivation and contact you as soon as it is possible to re-register.
